Rollings Mills

Twin Brothers Marine has three (3) tubular rolling mills dedicated to the manufacturing of large diameter (28" to 222"), heavy wall (1/2" to 3") rolled and welded tubular using double submerged arc welding process, (DSAW)

Both mills are capable of cold rolling typical steel materials such as ASTM A-36 or similar having yield 36 KSI, API 2H Gr. 50, ASTM A633 Gr. C or similar having yield 50 KSI, API 2Y, API 2W, ASTM A709 Gr. 70W or similar having 60 – 100 KSI.

Fabrication capacity between the three mills is up to 160 tons per day.

Rolling Mill #1

Rolling Mill #1 is a 12,000 sq. ft. enclosed building with a 4-roller Roundo Model PAS 650 Special.

Sufficient capacity to roll 3” thick plate to internal diameter 28” to 168” in 10' length.

Mill operation is supported by a flame planer plate cutting machine with two torches, automatic submerged arc welding stations, beveling machines with two torches each, three 3 - 10 ton overhead cranes, and a rail spur.

Piling rack with submerged arc welding stations capable of producing tubulars in normal lengths up to 220 feet in length with possible adjustment to longer lengths.

Rolling Mill #2

Rolling Mill #2 is a 48,000 sq. ft. enclosed building with a 4 roller Bertsch Model 36.

Sufficient capacity of cold rolling 10 feet long cans from 3” thick plate to smallest internal diameter of 44” and it is capable to roll up to 5” thick plate for larger diameter (up to 222”), depending on the grade of materials.

Mill operation is supported by a flame planer cutting machine with four torches, automatic submerge arc AC/DC welding stations, beveling machines with two torches each, a re-rounder, 3 - 20 ton overhead cranes, and a rail spur.

Piling rack with submerged arc welding stations capable of producing tubular in normal lengths up to 450 feetin length with possible adjustment to longer lengths.
