High school diploma, GED or vocational school recommended but not limited.

Company provided on-the-job training of specific electrical equipment.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Ability to work on Welding Machines, Overhead Cranes, Automatic Sub-Arc & Flux Core Welding Machines, Miscellaneous Fabrication Equipment. Basic knowledge in electrical wiring & reading schematics. Uses tools of the trade. Safety minded.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Works in a fabrication shop/mill setting.
- Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus and electronic components of industrial machinery, hydraulic systems and equipment.
- Follow electrical code, understand manuals, schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. Be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems without schematics.
- Uses tools of the trade to measure voltage and test equipment.
- Maintains calibration records for all welding equipment on a monthly basis.
- Will be required to climb and/or work at heights exceeding 6 feet, and subject to frequent lifting to but not exceeding 50lbs.
