Education
Prefer that candidate have a Bachelor Degree
Experience
Candidates must have prior Fabrication Estimating/Material Takeoff experience of at least 5 years and knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessels.
Training
- Have well developed communication, organizational and time management skills, have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word software, and be a great team leader.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge to oversee an Estimating Department.
- Ability to estimate and oversee several estimating projects at one time.
- Highly motivated, organized, excellent communicator – verbal and written skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good project management skills, attention to details, good mathematical skills., Blueprint reading/Interpretation.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Training and assisting estimating staff.
- Responsible for assisting in completing job estimates and sending completed bid to client.
- Identifying and reviewing material and labor requirements to determine which is most cost effective, data entry of material and labor rates into PC workbook.
- Estimating the time, material tonnage and pricing, and equipment required to complete job.
- Make presentations to Upper Management and Project Managers outlining the upcoming projects and being a liaise with the client.
- Responsible for preparing the final detailed bid.
- Prepare bid letters, including qualifications & exceptions.
- Prepare proposal packages including bid letter, forms, etc.
